Udokk Monetisation Agreement

Version 1.0 · Last updated 29 October 2026

This Monetisation Agreement ("Agreement") is between you, a Creator who sells subscriptions on Udokk, and Udokk Ltd ("Udokk", "we" or "us"), company number 16772147, registered office 2 St Mary's Road, Tonbridge, TN9 2LB, England. It applies on top of the Terms of Use. You accept it when you set your subscription prices, and you must accept each new version before setting or changing prices. You enter into it as a business or as an individual acting in the course of your profession, not as a consumer.

1. Who can monetise

You must be at least 18 and have an active Stripe account connected to Udokk. Stripe verifies your identity and bank details under its own terms. Without an active Stripe account you cannot set prices.

2. How sales work

Subscribers buy subscriptions to your channel from Udokk, through the App Store or Google Play. Udokk is the seller to the subscriber. In return for making your content available through Udokk, Udokk pays you a share of the revenue from your channel, as set out below. Amounts become owed to you only when they become payable under section 5. Udokk does not hold money on your behalf.

3. Prices

You choose the price of each plan (monthly, annual and Supporter) from a fixed list in pounds sterling. The stores charge subscribers a local equivalent. All three plans must have a price before your channel can sell. Once you set or change a price, it is locked for 180 days. Price changes apply to new subscriptions only, unless a store process asks existing subscribers to agree to the new price.

After you save your prices, the stores take a few minutes to make the plans available. Until then, people who try to subscribe are asked to try again later.

4. Revenue share

From each charge, the store keeps its tax and commission. Of what remains ("net revenue"), you receive 70% and Udokk keeps 30%. The calculation uses the tax and commission the store reports for each sale. Udokk pays Stripe's fees for transfers to your Stripe account. Any fees Stripe charges you under your own Stripe agreement, including currency conversion to a non-sterling bank account, are yours.

5. When you are paid

5.1 Monthly plans. Your share of each monthly charge becomes payable 30 days after the charge.

5.2 Annual plans. Your share of an annual or Supporter charge is split into 12 monthly instalments. Each instalment becomes payable once its month has ended and at least 30 days after the charge.

5.3 Payouts. Payable amounts are sent weekly to your Stripe account in pounds sterling. Stripe's own schedule applies from Stripe to your bank. Test purchases made in the stores' sandboxes are never paid.

5.4 Refunds in progress. When a store tells us that a Google Play subscriber's access ended at once, which usually means a refund is on its way, we hold the payout of that charge for up to 48 hours until the store confirms. If the refund is confirmed, section 6 applies; if not, the charge is paid as normal.

5.5 Statements. You can see your earnings, instalments, payouts and debits in the app. These statements are not VAT invoices.

6. Refunds and deductions

If a subscriber is refunded by the store, the unpaid instalments of that subscription are cancelled. Whatever was already paid to you for it becomes a debit, which we deduct from your next payouts. If a debit is larger than your next payout, nothing is transferred that week and the rest is deducted from the following payouts. You authorise these deductions and, where needed, the reversal of Stripe transfers to your account.

When Udokk ends a Google Play subscription early with a prorated refund (for example after an approved refund request, when you turn monetisation off, or when you close your account), you keep your share of the time already delivered: instalments of months that have ended stay payable, the instalment of the current month is reduced to the days before the refund, and only the instalments of later months are cancelled. No debit is created.

Any part of a debit that cannot be deducted from your payouts stays open and is borne by Udokk. We do not charge it to your card or bank account, except where section 13.3 applies.

7. Your obligations as a Creator

You promise that:

  • you hold the qualifications, registrations and insurance you claim on Udokk, you keep them current, and you tell us straight away if any of them is suspended, restricted or lapses;

  • you have all the rights needed for your content, including music, images and the consent of anyone who appears in it, and your content does not breach anyone's rights, confidentiality or privacy;

  • you never share identifiable patient or client information without valid consent;

  • your content is lawful, accurate to the best of your knowledge and in line with your professional body's rules, and when you promote products or services it follows UK advertising rules (including the CAP Code), with any paid or gifted promotion clearly labelled;

  • you do not use Udokk to diagnose or treat individual subscribers, and you make clear that your content is general information;

  • you deliver what you describe on your channel and do not mislead subscribers about it.

We recommend that you hold professional indemnity insurance that covers online content.

You will compensate Udokk for losses, claims and reasonable costs that arise because you broke these promises.

8. Licences

8.1 Platform licence. The licence in the Terms of Use covers hosting, storing, transcoding and making your content available to subscribers, including after you close your account as described in section 10.

8.2 Promotional licence. You also allow Udokk to use your name, profile photo, channel name and short extracts of your content (up to 60 seconds each) to promote your channel and Udokk, including on our website, social media, newsletters and podcast. You can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing support@udokk.com. We will stop new uses within 14 days, but we do not have to remove posts already published.

9. Subscriber data

You can see the name, username and photo of your subscribers. You may only use this information to run your channel on Udokk. You must not contact subscribers outside Udokk, sell or share their data, or use it for any other purpose. You must tell us straight away if you suspect subscriber data has been misused.

10. Closing your account

10.1 You can close your account at any time from Settings > Delete account. We act on the request straight away: your channel is taken down for the public and your profile is anonymised, except that your channel name stays visible to subscribers who keep access until the final deletion; your plans are removed from sale in both stores; Google Play subscriptions are ended and refunded; App Store subscribers are asked to cancel their renewal (Apple does not let us cancel it for them); and your subscribers are told by notification.

10.2 Subscribers. On Google Play, subscribers are refunded the days they have left. On the App Store, subscribers can ask Apple for a refund; those who are not refunded keep access until the end of the period they have paid for.

10.3 Keeping your content for existing subscribers. Udokk keeps your paid content available to existing subscribers until their paid period ends, plus 30 days for late store events, even after you ask to close your account. We do this to deliver what subscribers have paid for and in our legitimate interests. Your content is then permanently deleted, and we email you to confirm.

10.4 Your earnings during the closure. Instalments for months your content is still delivered remain yours. They are held until your content is deleted and then paid in one go, after deducting any debit from refunds that arrive in the meantime. Your Stripe account stays connected for this. Charges that reach your channel after you closed your account, such as an App Store renewal a subscriber has not cancelled yet, are not paid to you. We tell the subscriber how to ask Apple for a refund and support the request, and we do not keep these charges as revenue.

10.5 Records. We keep the financial records of your earnings and payouts for 6 years from the end of the financial year, as the Privacy Policy explains.

11. Turning monetisation off

11.1 You can stop selling subscriptions at any time without closing your account, from Monetisation in the app, or instead of accepting a new version of this Agreement. Before anything changes, we show you what you lose and ask you to confirm.

11.2 What happens. Your plans are removed from sale in both stores and nobody new can subscribe. Google Play subscriptions are ended and the subscribers are refunded the days they have left (section 6 applies to your share). App Store subscribers are asked to cancel their renewal and keep access until the end of the period they have paid for. Every subscriber is told by notification. Your channel and your free content stay as they are.

11.3 After you turn it off. Charges that reach your channel after you turned monetisation off are handled as in section 10.4: they are not paid to you and not kept by Udokk. Your premium content stays listed on your channel, locked for members without a subscription.

11.4 Selling again. You can turn monetisation back on by setting your prices and accepting the current version of this Agreement. Price locks still apply. Subscribers whose subscriptions ended must subscribe again.

12. Taxes

You are responsible for declaring and paying any income tax, National Insurance and VAT due on what you receive. If you are VAT registered, tell us your VAT number and issue us a VAT invoice for your share where required. We may ask you for tax information and report your earnings to HMRC where the law requires, for example under the digital platform reporting rules.

13. Suspension and termination by Udokk

13.1 We may suspend your monetisation or your account straight away if you seriously break the Terms of Use or this Agreement, for example by publishing illegal or dangerous content, misrepresenting your qualifications or committing fraud. For other breaches, we tell you first and give you 14 days to put things right.

13.2 We tell you our reasons in writing. You can appeal by emailing support@udokk.com within 30 days, and someone who was not involved in the original decision reviews it.

13.3 If we suspend or end your monetisation, we may hide your content and handle your subscribers as in section 11.2, refunding Google Play subscribers for unused time. We freeze payouts while we investigate. We may deduct refunds, chargebacks, store penalties and losses your breach caused, and pay you the balance after 90 days. Where we find fraud, amounts from the fraudulent transactions are not paid, and we may recover amounts already paid for them.

13.4 We may end this Agreement for any other reason on 30 days' notice. Amounts already payable to you are still paid.

14. Liability

Nothing in this Agreement limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Otherwise, neither of us is liable for loss of profit, revenue or goodwill, or for indirect loss, and Udokk's total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the amounts paid to you in that period and £100. We do not guarantee any number of subscribers or level of earnings.

15. Relationship

You are an independent business. Nothing in this Agreement makes you an employee, worker, agent or partner of Udokk.

16. Changes

We may update this Agreement. We tell you at least 15 days before a new version takes effect, unless the law or a store requires a faster change. Every version stays available at https://udokk.com/monetisation-agreement. You must accept the current version before setting or changing prices. If you do not want to accept a new version, you can turn monetisation off instead (section 11).

17. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
